Updates on the former Budgens building, walking trail and future plans for the main street will be given at an informal meeting of the Helston Community Interest Company on Wednesday evening.

The directors of the CIC are inviting people to join them between 7.15pm and 9pm at the Central Methodist Church in Coinagehall Street and would particularly like to see younger people from the town.

Director Malcolm Oliver said: "We will be providing an update on our activities over the past year. These include a Place Shaping Plan which covers Coinagehall Street, Penrose Trail and the old Budgens building, Discover Helston magazine, a website and social media, cycle racks and a drinking fountain.

"We are very keen to engage with our younger generation to obtain their thoughts on Helston as it currently is, and what improvements they would like to see in the future.

"This will be your opportunity to put forward your views on how as a community, we can return Helston back into a vibrant destination town."
