A TEENAGER has been banned from the roads after admitting drink driving.

Harvey Dymond, aged 19, of Atlantic Crescent, Sennen, committed the offence on October 22, in a Volkswagen Polo on the A30.

He had 40mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was disqualified for 12 months and fined £120. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £32 victim surcharge.

A 35 year-old man has been jailed after driving whilst disqualified in Falmouth.

Daniel Lee Glover, of Higher Condurrow, Beacon, Camborne, admitted committing the offence in Boslowick Road on June 30, in a Volkswagen Passat.

He also pleaded guilty to driving without insurance.

The offences activated a suspended sentence imposed by Cornwall Magistrates' Court on July 22, for three counts of assault by beating and driving whilst disqualified. Those offences took place in Camborne and St Austell.

He also admitted further charges of driving whilst disqualified and driving with no insurance in a grey Peugeot 206 on the B3280 Praze Road, Leedstown, on September 3.

He has been sent to prison for 33 weeks and disqualified from driving for two years.

A MAN who wilfully obstructed a policeman in Falmouth has been fined.

Christopher John Knight, aged 32, of no fixed address, admitted committing the offence on June 4.

He also admitted breaching a conditional discharge which had been imposed by Cornwall Magistrates' Court on January 7 for an offence of criminal damage.

He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge. There was not action taken on the breach.

A WOMAN who drove under the influence of cannabis has been banned from the roads for 12 months.

Emma Baldwin, aged 45, of Dolcoath Road, Camborne, admitted committing the offence on July 25 in a Mini on the A30 at Hayle.

She also admitted possessing 1.8g of cannabis.

Besides the ban, Baldwin was fined £218 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £32 victim surcharge.

THE case of a man who caused harassment, alarm or distress has been sent to Truro Crown Court for sentencing.

Kane Christopher Powell, aged 21, of Higher Fore Street, Redruth, admitted committing the offence on October 23.

It activates a suspended prison sentence made on November 11 for offences of battery, possessing a bladed article and racially aggravated public order.

He will be sentenced by Truro Crown Court on Thursday, December 12.

A FALMOUTH man drove whilst almost two and a half times over the legal alcohol limit.

Adam Richard Pryor, aged 34, of Trenoweth Road, Goldenbank, admitted committing the offence in a white MG on Mongleath Road, on October 27.

He had 84mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was disqualified from driving for 21 months and fined £193.

He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £32 victim surcharge.

A 41 year-old man failed to give a specimen of breath when suspected of having committed a driving offence.

Shuan Spackman, of Chard Terrace, Falmouth, admitted committing the offence on October 25.

He was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £270.

He was ordered to pay £85 costs and £32 victim surcharge.

A 53 year-old man has been fined for speeding on the A30.

Christopher Lees, of Pengoon Farm, Nancegollan, admitted breaking a 50mph limit in a Peugeot Expert at Roseworthy, on May 18.

He was fined £280 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points.

EXCEEDING a 70mph speed limit has resulted in a fine for a Helston man.

Michael James Samson, aged 35, of Hellis Wartha, admitted committing the offence on May 1 in a Citroen Xsara on the A30 near Roche.

He was fined £146 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with three points.
