Police have given more information into the identity of a man whose body was found in Truro River yesterday morning.
Formal identification is still yet to be carried out, but a spokesperson said he is believed to be in his 50s from Penryn.
She said: "Police are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the death but it is not believed suspicious."
Emergency services were called to Malpas yesterday after police received a 999 call about a "possible body" in Truro River, which runs behind Newham.
Police officers attended with coastguards and paramedics, with the air ambulance also landing.
A police spokesperson later confirmed that a body was recovered by a harbour vessel.
The man was declared to have died at the scene.
