A MAN who drove while unfit through drugs has been banned from the roads for 12 months.

Joshua James Annear, aged 26, of Dudman Road, Truro, admitted committing the offence on April 13 in an Audi A3 at Threemilestone.

He was also fined £260 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

DRIVING with excess alcohol has resulted in a disqualification for a Camborne man.

Nathan Lee Gilks, aged 26, of The Old School House, Roskear, admitted committing the offence on May 25 in an Audi A4 in St Day.

He had 113mlgs of alcohol in 100mls of blood. The legal limit is 80mlgs.

DESTROYING a window of a Helston jewellers has resulted in a community order for a 58 year-old man.

Gary Hughes, of Truro Road, St Austell, destroyed a window to the value of £1,000 belonging to Wearnes Jewellers on November 10.

He had previously pleaded not guilty but at a hearing on Monday, he changed his plea to guilty.

He was made the subject of a rehabilitation activity requirement and ordered to pay £200 compensation.

CAUSING a nuisance or disturbance to a NHS staff member at Royal Cornwall Hospital has resulted in a court appearance for a 24 year-old man.

Liam Bradley, of no fixed address, admitted committing the offence on October 30 at the hospital in Truro, when he refused without reasonable excuse to leave the premises when asked to do so.

He was given an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £21 victim surcharge.

Kristy-Ann Gough, aged 30, of Eglos Road, Shortlanesend, admitted driving a Citroen Xsara on Chapel Hill, St Erth, on July 18.

She also pleaded guilty to driving without insurance.

POSSESSING a bladed article in the centre of Truro has resulted in a fine for a 59 year-old man.

Richard George Graham, of Trenowth Wood, Grampound Road, admitted having a folding lock knife in New Bridge Street on June 22.

A LATVIAN man has been banned from the roads after failing to provide a specimen of breath.

Dace Pundure, aged 55, of Pauls Green Farm, Leedstown, admitted committing the offence at Hayle on October 30.

A 63 year-old man was more than twice the legal drink-drive limit.

David Thomson, aged 63, of Rounders Rise, Hayle, admitted committing the offence in Bodriggy Street in a Ford Transit on October 28.

He had 87mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was disqualified for 22 months and fined £120. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and £32 victim surcharge.

A 41 year-old man has been banned from the roads for 15 months after drink driving.

Giovannie Pope, aged 41, from Polglaze Farm, Philleigh, on the Roseland, admitted committing the offence in a Mitsubishi in Tregony, on November 1.

He had 57mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was fined £738 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £73 victim surcharge.

A MAN who damaged a car bonnet and assaulted a woman has been given a community order.

Alven James Evans, aged 42, of Paynters Lane, Illogan, admitted committing the offences in Camborne on November 11.

The offences were committed whilst he was the subject of another community order made on April 9, 2018, after he damaged a car and a television and assaulted another woman in Falmouth on September 21, 2017.

He must now comply with a rehabilitation activity requirement and carry out 155 hours of unpaid work.
