A MAN who stole items from Asda in Penryn has been jailed.
Paul Robert Spillar, aged 41, of River Street, Truro, stole from three different supermarkets on five separate occasions last year, for which he received a community order on November 7, 2018.
He appeared before Truro magistrates on Monday to admit that he has breached that order by failing to comply with the curfew requirements; two counts of failing to keeping touch and failing to attend an appointment on February 27.
Spillar was jailed for 12 weeks because of his "total failure to comply with probation requirements, his record and accrual of offences" said magistrates.
He will also be electronically monitored and placed under curfew for six months.
His theft offences last year were as follows:
* October 12 - stole Vodka to the value of £193 from Asda in Penryn
* September 21 - stole Lenor fabric conditioner to the value of £16 from Asda in Penryn
* May 28 - stole alcohol, food and toys jointly with Lisa Spillar to the value of £838.10 from Asda in Hayle

* November 4, 2017 - stole goods to the value of £83 from Morrisons in Newquay
