A CAMBORNE man who was in possession of 13.95g of diamorphine has been given a community order.

Darren Nicholls, aged 45, of Treswithian Road, admitted committing the offence in Camborne on April 9.

He must comply with a drug rehabilitation requirement and was fined £120.

He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £90 victim surcharge.

A WOMAN who broke a 30mph speed limit has been fined.

Jessica Anne Cole, aged 34, of Gwarak An Mor, Portscatho, admitted committing the offence on January 19 in a Volkswagen Passat, in Devon.

She was fined £61 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. Her licence was endorsed with three points.

A MAN escaped a driving ban due to mitigating circumstances.

Dean Grant Fisher, aged 32, admitted speeding on the A394 at Trewennack, near Helston, on March 15.

Fisher, of Forth An Vre, Brea, was spared a disqualification by magistrates because he stood to lose his job, which would have consequences for his children.

He was fined £133 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with three points.

A REDRUTH woman who admitted driving without insurance for a second time was spared a disqualification by magistrates.

Margaret Clare Roberts, aged 47, of The Caravan, Treleigh Arms, drove illegally in Redruth on May 29, having previously committed the same offence in 2017.

Roberts, who works for Vospers car dealership, was not banned because of a potential loss of job and resultant effect on her mental health.

She was fined £346 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £34 victim surcharge. Her licence was endorsed with six points.

A TEENAGER who took a BMW car without consent has been ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work.

Dean John Williams, aged 19, of Pengegon Parc, Camborne, admitted taking the black BMW 3 series in Redruth, on June 12, which was damaged during his use of it.

He also pleaded guilty to driving without insurance and a licence.

Besides the community order, he was also banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £300 compensation, £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

DRIVING without insurance or MoT certificate has resulted in a big fine and a ban for a Lanner woman.

Michelle Louise Walker, aged 32, of Tayberry Drive, committed the offences in Sandy Lane, Redruth, on June 4.

She was fined £660 and disqualified from driving for six months.

She was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £66 victim surcharge.
