A PENRYN man has pleaded guilty to stealing a gun, following an incident in Falmouth on Thursday evening.
Jarrod Westlake, aged 29, of Glen View, faced several charges when he appeared in Truro Crown Court this afternoon.
Westlake admitted stealing a single barrel shotgun and ammunition belonging to Gerrard Westlake in Falmouth on November 28.
Westlake denied a further charge:
* On November 28 in Falmouth he possessed a single-barrelled shotgun, with intent to cause unlawful violence against another, in Falmouth on November 28.
He also pleaded guilty to using or threatening unlawful violence towards another and his conduct was such as would cause a person of reasonable firmness present at the scene to fear for his personal safety on November 28 in Falmouth.
Also in court was 27-year-old Connor McGurk, of no fixed address.
He also pleaded guilty to the charge of unlawful violence.
McGurk denied one count of making threats to kill, stealing a shotgun in Falmouth on November 28 and possessing a firearm on the same date.
Both men were remanded in custody until the next court appearance, which will be on December 10, when they will be sentenced for a separate charge of affray, for which they both pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing.
