*Update: police confirmed on Wednesday morning that Mr Healan has now been found safe and well*

Searches are continuing into this evening for a missing pensioner with health problems.

Police have been looking for 72-year-old John Healan since 11.45am this morning, after he went missing from his home in Marazion.

He is described as being 5ft 6in tall and of slim build, with greying short hair.

He was last seen wearing a green National Trust cap, navy blue jacket black trousers and brown walking boots when he left home.

He had a cane and grey/blue rucksack and is used to walking in the Marazion area.

A police spokesperson said: "John does suffer from some health problems that might affect his ability to find his way home and it is certainly out of character for him to be away from home for so long, and especially into the hours of darkness.

"Police and partners are searching the local area but if anyone does see a man answering John’s description contact with the police is requested."

Anyone who sees Mr Healan or knows where he might be should call police on 101, log 565 of 03/12/2019.
