A MAN from Launceston assaulted a man in Hayle and has been placed under curfew for 12 weeks.

Michael James Dray, 27, of Prince Phillip Road, assaulted Xander Matthew on May 19 2019.

He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a community order which stipulates that he must not leave his home between 5pm and 5am until March 16 2020.

Dray was also ordered to pay compensation of £200.

A MOUNT Hawke man was placed under curfew for four months after being caught drug driving whilst disqualified without valid insurance or MOT.

Kallum Lee Paul Smith, 19, of Fore Street, pleaded guilty to driving with a quantity of THC (found in cannabis) in his system, possessing 0.6 grams of cannabis, driving whilst disqualified, driving with no valid insurance and driving with no valid MOT certificate.

All five offences took place in Trevenson Business Park in Camborne on May 21.

Smith must not leave his house between the hours of 7pm and 7am until April 23 2020.

He was disqualified from holding a licence for 15 months.

Smith must also pay a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £85 and carry out a rehabilitation requirement.

A ST KEVERNE woman has been fined for drink driving.

Kimberley Jade Paulette, 31, of High Street, admitted driving on the St Keverne to Helston road on August 23 with 83 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of her blood. The legal limit is 80 milligrammes. 

She was fined £120 and ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £32.

Paulette was also disqualified from holding a licence for 12 months.

A SCORRIER man was fined for speeding.

Steven David Wren, 52, of North Downs, broke the 70mph speed limit on the A30 at Whimple in Devon on May 14.

He was fined £70 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30.
