The identity of a person who died after being hit by a train between Penzance and Truro has been confirmed.
British Transport Police (BTP) have said that casualty was a woman in her seventies.
A BTP spokesperson said: “Officers were called to lines in Truro at 9.49am on 27 December following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended however sadly a woman in her seventies was pronounced dead. Her family have been informed.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
