SOME would say that it was poetic justice when a Penryn man was banned for drink driving.
Samuel Beckett, aged 26, of Glen View, originally denied the offence but changed his plea to guilty when he appeared before Bodmin magistrates on Friday.
He committed the offence in a black BMW on August 18, on the A394 at Rame.
He had 63mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.
Beckett was disqualified from driving for 17 months and fined £445.
He was also ordered to pay £1,000 costs and £44 victim surcharge.
