A WOMAN was almost three times over the drink-drive limit, a court heard.

Margo Cox Boyle, aged 55, of Lanhoose Barn, Portscatho, admitted committing the offence on the A390 Dabbs Hill, Tregony, on December 18.

The US citizen was driving a Volvo when she registered 103mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

She was banned from driving for four years and made the subject of a community order, in which she will be electronically monitored for three months.

She was ordered to pay £90 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

A 51 year-old man was handed a suspended prison sentence after driving whilst disqualified.

Hadrian Johnstone, of Dusty Corner, Wheal Rose, Scorrier, admitted committing the offence and also further charges of driving with no insurance of MoT.

He drove a Honda CBR motorcycle on September 4 at Plain an Gwarry.

Magistrates said the reason for custody was because of his previous convictions and blatant disregard of court order not to drive.

He was committed to prison for 12 weeks, suspended for two years. He must also comply with a rehabilitation activity requirement.

He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £122 and £85 costs and banned from the roads for 12 months.

A FLUSHING man admitted drink-driving when he appeared before Truro magistrates on Monday.

Granville John Williams, aged 56, of River View, committed the offence in Penryn on December 28.

He was driving a Honda Jazz in Bissom Road when he had 66mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

Williams was banned from the roads for 18 months and fined £347.

He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £34 victim surcharge.

A ST KEVERNE woman failed to provide a specimen of urine after being suspected of a driving offence.

Gitana Rimkiene, aged 44, of Tregowis, admitted the offence and also pleaded guilty to driving without insurance or MoT.

The incident happened on December 18 in St Anthony Road, Helston.

She was banned from the roads for 20 months and fined £400.

She was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £40 victim surcharge.

AN 82 year-old man has admitted driving without due care and attention.

Bryan Lawry, of Killicourt, Carnon Downs, committed the offence on September 25 in the village's Smithy Lane.

He was driving a Fiat Punto which was involved in an accident, for which he failed to stop.

He admitted that offence and also a third charge of failing to report the accident to police having not given his name and address at the scene.

Lawry was fined £525 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £52 victim surcharge. His driving record was endorsed with eight points.

A TEENAGER was found in possession of a knife in a public place.

Adam Jacob Bardgett, aged 19, of Treneere Road, Penzance, admitted committing the offence on December 22, when he had a folding pocket knife.

He was given a six-month jail term suspended for 12 months.

He will be electronically monitored for five months and was ordered to pay £122 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

AN ILLOGAN woman assaulted a policeman.

Lisa Pascoe, aged 49, of Appin Gardens, Illogan, admitted committing the offence on December 11.

She was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £100 compensation and £21 victim surcharge.

She was disqualified from driving for 26 months and fined £200. She was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £32 victim surcharge.

STEALING two bottles of Prosecco has resulted in a court appearance for a 38 year-old man.

Richard S Percival, aged 38, of Dudnance Lane, Pool, admitted committing the offence on December 9 and also stealing alcohol to the value of £15 on December 5.

Both offences took place in the B & M store in Redruth.

He was given an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs, £26.98 compensation and £21 victim surcharge.

A CAMBORNE man who admitted possessing cannabis with intent to supply, has been given a community order.

Arthur Luke Cloke, aged 33, of Pengegon Parc, committed the offence on September 17.

He must carry out 150 hours of unpaid work and was ordered to pay £85 costs and £90 victim surcharge.

A TEENAGER who drove whilst disqualified was found to be in possession of MDMA and cannabis.

Oscar Thomas Martin Hill, aged 19, of Towan Cross, Mount Hawke, admitted committing the offences on June 25 on an unclassified road adjacent to Trewartha Farm, Mount Hawke.

He was driving a green Rover 25 and also pleaded guilty to failing to stop when required by police and driving without insurance.

He must carry out 120 hours of unpaid work and his driving record was endorsed with eight points.

Hill was also fined £120 and ordered to pay £90 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

A 26 year-old man has been jailed for four weeks for an assault in Truro.
Daniel Francis Toy, of no fixed address, originally denied the offence but changed his plea to guilty.
He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £122 victim surcharge.
