Falmouth Town Council has responded to a father of three concerned about builders parking on what was believed to be a children's play area.
The man, who did not want to be named, walks his dog in the area and contacted the Packet about vehicles parked on land at Dracaena Fields.
"I'm concerned that the area is not moving in the right direction.
"There is an outside gym that has been built which never seems to be used and the play area has construction vehicles for the Four Winds site."
Simon Penna, the town's grounds and facilities manager, has now clarified that the land used to be a play area but has not been used as one for many years.
He added that the council had given construction workers permission to park on the former play area in order to relieve parking problems in surrounding roads during construction of the new care home.
