A Buddhist monk, meditation teacher and author will host an evening at The Poly, in Falmouth.

Gelong Thubten is a world pioneer in mindfulness meditation teaching, with over 20 years’ experience working with schools, universities, hospitals, businesses, prisons and addiction centres.

He trains staff at major corporations such as Google, and is regarded today as one of the UK’s most influential meditation teachers.

He teaches mindfulness to medical students and has lectured at Oxford University. He also works with the United Nations.

Thubten collaborated with Ruby Wax on the book How to be Human: the Manual and his own bestselling book, A Monk’s Guide to Happiness, was published in June 2019.

Thubten is now taking A Monk's Guide To Happiness on tour across the UK in May 2020, marking the launch of the paperback edition.

Each event will include a talk, guided meditation, Q&A and book signing. He will be at The Poly on Friday, May 1.
