A family activity centre near Helston is asking people to donate plastic bottles to help finish a new children's play area.
Wendron Plant Nursery, on the Helston to Wendron road, needs around 3,000 bottles of one litre or less, with lids on.
Water, cooking oil and shampoo are among the type of bottles suitable, but not those for milk as they are not strong enough.
The bottles will be filled with water and place inside whole tyres, to use in the construction of the play park surface, which will be topped with a layer of bark chippings.
The cost of an equivalent rubber-pour surface would be £15,000.
A spokesperson for the nursery said: "Local cafes have stopped selling plastic bottles, including us, so it is actually hard to obtain this number.
"We desperately need them, otherwise we can't finish the play park."
The nursery not only sells plants but also has a soft play centre, cafe and animals that can be visited for free.
The bottles can be dropped off during centre opening hours Wednesday to Saturday and Mondays. Ideally these should be filled two thirds with water.
