A 25 year-old man failed to appear at Truro Magistrates' Court today, two weeks after his hearing was adjourned through illness.
Thomas Stephen Opie, of no fixed address, is accused of four violence offences in Falmouth on October 6.
Two weeks ago he arrived at court but his case was adjourned because he was unwell, with the defendant clutching his stomach.
The hearing was rescheduled for this morning - the sixth time it has been listed in magistrates' court - but he could not attend because he was ill.
He is accused of one count of assaulting a man by beating, one of assaulting a woman and two counts of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.
Opie was originally due to stand trial on November 26 at Truro Magistrates' Court.
However, he was involved in a car accident prior to that hearing and was unable to take to the dock.
Following today's absence he has been remanded on bail until Tuesday, January 28, when he will appear before Truro magistrates.
