POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a crash in which a man suffered life-threatening injuries yesterday.
The incident involving a blue Peugeot and a silver Volkswagen transporter took place near Little Pengwedna, on the B3302 near Helston.
A police spokesman said: "At approximately 0705 hrs hours on Thursday 6th February 2020, police were notified of a road traffic collision on the B3302 between Hayle and Helston.
"The collision involved a blue Peugeot and a silver Volkswagon transporter.
"The Peugeot was travelling toward Hayle and the Volkswagen towards Helston when the collision occurred.
"The driver of the Peugeot, a 23 year old local male, sustained life threatening injuries and was initially taken to RCH Truro but then transferred to Derriford."
Officers from the Alliance’s Roads Policing Team and local officers attended the scene and began an investigation.
The road was closed for several hours.
