FIREFIGHTERS had to rescue an occupant of a flat in Truro last night.
The incident happened in Rosedale Road in the early hours.
The fire service's critical control centre received multiple calls at 12.30am to reports of a flat fire with people believed to be inside.
Crews from Truro, Tolvaddon and Perranporth were mobilised, along with a wholetime officer.
On arrival firefighters using breathing apparatus entered the property with a hose reel.
One casualty was rescued and taken into the care of ambulance.
An investigation into the cause of the fire will take place today.
