A REDRUTH man admitted using threatening behaviour towards a woman when he appeared before Truro magistrates today.
Mark Simon Rogers, aged 40, of Vorfield Close, pleaded guilty to the offence which took place in Camborne on November 24 last year.
Prosecutor Anita Kennett said the offence took place in the street, when he was swinging punches towards the victim.
In police interview he said that the incident had been "a bit of a blur" because he had drunk eight cans of lager and two mixers.
Defending himself, Rogers said it was completely out of character, having never done anything like it before.
He also recognised that drinking was the problem and that he had taken steps to cut down.
Magistrates gave him an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered him to pay £85 costs and £21 victim surcharge.
