A former Falmouth care home that has been used as an HMO in recent years is to be converted into a hotel.
The main building at 2 Park Crescent was previously a home for the elderly before being converted to residential lettings as a house of multiple occupation in 2005.
Now Mr and Mrs Gardner have been given conditional planning permission by Cornwall Council to change its use to a hotel.
The house, which overlooks Kimberley Park, has 12 rooms and documents accompanying the planning application state that there will be no change to the layout of the building.
A number of the rooms are already en-suite and the remaining rooms will share facilities, while downstairs there are two kitchens, utility room and two large communal rooms.
Conditions include the parking and turning areas not being used for any other purpose after the hotel is brought into use.
