POLICE are investigating a robbery in Bournemouth early this morning.
The police helicopter was launched following a report of a robbery in Wharfdale Road in Westbourne.
The incident was reported to police at 6.03am this morning.
Dorset Police said an investigation is underway.
A spokesperson said: "Officers are currently in the area continuing to carry out enquiries, assisted by the NPAS helicopter.”
An eyewitness reported seeing armed officers and the dog unit in nearby Suffolk Road South.
Another person told the Daily Echo around six armed police officers were seen at Bournemouth railway station this morning at around 7.25am.
