A lone pancake flipper having a sneaky practise at the Grylls Monument
The tradition of pancake racing returns to Helston this morning and it's open to everyone.
Pancake races used to be an annual event in the town every Shrove Tuesday and today they're back, taking place at the Bowling Green from 10.30am.
The event has been organised as a fundraiser for Helston's Relay for Life event taking place this summer, in aid of Cancer Research UK.
The committee said: "Anyone can enter, you just need to bring a pan and plenty of enthusiasm."
Donations will be collected for the charity and everyone is welcome to buy coffee and homemade cake - as well as pancakes, of course - afterwards at the Guildhall.
