A PENRYN man sent messages to a victim despite being prohibited by a non-molestation order made on October 18.

Jordan Churcher, aged 26, of Saracen Way, admitted committing the offence on February 6 and further offences of attending an address in Penryn on February 14, November 19 and November 29.

Magistrates imposed a community order on him, in which he will be electronically monitored for two months. He also had a restraining order imposed for three years and was ordered to pay £90 victim surcharge.

A MYLOR man has been fined after breaking a 30mph speed limit.

Anthony Frederick Brelsford, aged 55, of Passage Hill, admitted committing the offence in a Mercedes Vito on August 10 near Liskeard.

Charlene Doreen Ellis, aged 31, of Trenoweth Street, North Country, admitted committing the offence in St Austell on January 2.

A PENZANCE man was given a 24-month conditional discharge after admitting an assault charge.

Jonathan Leslie Jarrett, aged 32, of Market Jew Street, also pleaded guilty to damaging an iphone to the value of £550 between December 30 and January 2.

Magistrates imposed a restraining order on Jarrett for two years and he was also ordered to pay £648.88 compensation, £85 costs and £21 victim surcharge.

ASSAULTING a man in Helston has resulted in a court appearance for a 28 year-old man.

Samir John Smee, of no fixed address, denied committing the offence on June 29, but was found guilty.

He was given a 36-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £150 compensation.

Smee pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody, for which he was fined £50 and ordered to pay £100 costs and £32 victim surcharge.
