Young farmers from the Helston and Lizard have been milking the applause after a successful turn on the stage.

Members of Helston and St Keverne YFC competed against other clubs in the county in the Cornwall YFC Drama and Cheerleading Competition.

Taking place at Liskeard Town Hall near Plymouth, it saw drama performers putting on a show in front of a packed audience, before the club's cheerleading group showed off their routines.

The hard hours of practising paid off, with the club receiving second places in both their categories.

And adding to the club's success, there were particular celebrations for member Ollie Pearce, who received the Cornwall YFC Best Actor Award.
