The first residents have moved into their new home at Lannanta Forge, in the west Cornish village of Lelant, near St Ives.

Keys were handed to Geoff and Pauline Venn, from Penzance by developer Gilbert & Goode.

Geoff said: “We wanted something brand new with little upkeep, and as soon as I walked through the front door here I knew this was the home for us. It just felt right.”

Lelant offers easy access to local schools, supermarkets, a pub, and leisure facilities. The village has good transport links, including its own railway station less than half a mile away, and there is a bus stop within a three minute walk of the new development.

The Venns' home is one of eight four-bedroomed executive homes being built on the Lannanta Forge development, as part of a wider scheme of 21 new homes in the area.

Pauline added: “I was a little apprehensive about moving, having lived in the same home for the last 39 years, but now we are here I absolutely love it.”

There are just five executive homes remaining, priced from £634,950. Three of the homes are of traditional configuration, and two offer reverse-level accommodation designed to make the most of the countryside position and sea views.

The bespoke, fully-fitted kitchens feature a quality range of NEFF appliances; underfloor heating can be found throughout; and each home has an integrated double garage with off road parking.

Gilbert & Goode’s sales coordinator, Nicola Mitchell, said: “Completion day is always an exciting time, handing over the keys to owners, and showing them around their brand new home.

“The superb location of Lannanta Forge means new homeowners can experience the coastal lifestyle which comes with living in this spectacular part of Cornwall. With so many beautiful towns and beaches to explore locally, it’s a great base for a dream family home, or even an investment property.”

The company will be opening its second show home on the development in March. For further information, or to book a viewing, please contact Gilbert & Goode on 01726 64800.
