With the expanding coronavirus situation Helston Town Council is gearing up to implement the Community Emergency Plan.
To support the local community emergency plan that the council will provide, more volunteers are needed.
The council said: "The more volunteers we have the stronger we are as a community.
"We envisage volunteers will be able to carry out activities for those self isolating or having difficulties such as picking up shopping, posting mail, collecting urgent supplies, giving a regular friendly phone call and or check.
"All are welcome and recognising coronavirus guidance we would particularly like to encourage those not in the ‘high risk’ groups."
Contact Helston Town Council by calling 01326 572063, email townclerk@helston-tc.gov.uk using “Volunteer” in subject title or call in person into the town council offices in the Guildhall.
