A new mayor and deputy mayor have been chosen for Helston
The next mayor and deputy mayor of Helston have been nominated for the coming civic year.
Current mayor John Martin has been in office for two years, with tradition dictating that a new mayor will be elected for the 2020/21 year.
Existing deputy mayor Tim Grattan-Kane was formally nominated by town councillors to become mayor from May.

Two councillors put themselves forward to be new deputy mayor: Miles Kenchington and Nicola Boase.
Both gave short presentations, with Mr Kenchington subsequently nominated following a vote.
