A Cornish building firm is offering job opportunities to former Flybe staff as part of its latest recruitment.

Persimmon Homes Cornwall, which has its headquarters in Launceston, is looking for experienced salespeople to join the team, as trainees.

With developments in Truro, Falmouth, Liskeard, Bodmin, Plymouth and Newquay, the PLC housebuilder is looking to bring in fresh faces to help the continued success of the business.

Jane Cartwright, sales director at Permission Homes Cornwall, said: “We’re delighted to announce that we are currently recruiting for experienced, quality sales advisors.

“The business continues to grow and we have a big year ahead of us. With the new developments in the pipeline, we’re pleased to be able to bring new jobs to the area.

“Sadly, we have seen the collapse of Flybe and a number of high street names have closed, and others have announced they are struggling, but I want the staff affected by this to know there are opportunities for the right people here.

“What I’m looking for is sales people with proven track records and a strong, positive attitude. We want to bring the best people in to help our customers find their dream homes.

“Persimmon also has a well-established training programme for trainees and we are always looking to bring the brightest talent into the business. There are great career opportunities within the company.

“To make a successful sales advisor I would say you have to be a people person, be able to manage expectations and be flexible. Like any job in sales you have to be prepared to put in the effort, but you get the reward.”
