A 27 year-old man who burgled a hair salon has received a community order.

Alexander Robert Morris, of Bosence Road, Townshend, Hayle, also admitted possessing a blade in a public place and a quantity of valium.

He committed the offences on January 20, when he broke into Taylor Cole Hair Salon in Truro.

He was later found in possession of a silver kitchen knife and the class C drug.

He must complete a drug rehabilitation requirement as a non-resident for 12 months. He was also fined £80 and ordered to pay £90 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

A 52 year-old man was found guilty of drink driving.

William Charles Faull, who is currently in prison in Exeter, committed the offence on January 5 at Blackwater. He had 40mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was fiend £375 and ordered to pay £750 costs and £37 victim surcharge. He was banned from driving for three years.

A WOMAN drove without insurance.

Lindsey Sonia Adele Prowse, aged 36, of Parc Abnac, Madron, committed the offence on January 8, 2018.

She was fined £180 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge.

A DOG owner has been made the subject of a court order to keep it under control.

Jonathan Colin David Rogers, aged 53, of Tresawsen Cottage, Callestick, near Truro, must put up fencing within 28 days, to ensure the rear garden and front of address is completely enclosed.

The fence must be of adequate strength and height so as to contain any dogs within the property.

He must also ensure that any gate allowing access to the public road is kept closed at all times and to ensure the dogs, Temba and Blue, be kept on a lead and monitored at all times when outside the property.

A MABE man admitted drink-driving.

Noel Abel, aged 40, of Antron Way, admitted committing the offence on March 1 in a Ford Galaxy on Helston Road, Penryn.

He had 82mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was fined £352 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £35 victim surcharge. He was disqualified from holding a licence for 20 months.

AN 80 year-old man admitted assault.

Alfred Guy Pettit, of Symons Close, Blackwater, was made the subject of a restraining order after committing the offence on December 4.

He is prohibited from visiting an address in Mount Hawke for two years.

He was also fined £384 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £38 victim surcharge.

A DRINK driver has been banned from the roads for 15 months.

Rory Sadler, of no fixed address, admitted committing the offence in a Peugeot Expert panel van on the A3083 in Helston.

He had 56mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was fined £369 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £36 victim surcharge.

A WOMAN failed to provide a specimen of breath after being required to do so during an investigation into whether she had committed an offence.

Jessica Ann Gleeson, aged 29, of The Pathway Fields, Hayle, admitted committing the offence on February 26.

She also admitted driving without insurance or a licence when using a BMW 1 Series in Lower Church Street, Hayle, on the same date.

Gleeson was placed under electronic curfew for two months and must comply with a rehabilitation activity requirement for up to 20 days.

She was ordered to pay £85 costs and £90 victim surcharge. She was banned from driving for three years.
