DRIVING whilst disqualified has resulted in a prison sentence for a 30 year-old man.
Paul Junior Withers, of Adelaide Street, Camborne, admitted committing the offence in a black Ford Focus in Hayle, on March 18.
He also pleaded guilty to driving without insurance and failing to stop for a police officer on the A30 roundabout at St Erth.
It also breached a community order imposed by Truro magistrates following the original disqualification, which took place on November 11 after he had driven a grey Range Rover Sport in Plymouth whilst disqualified on August 12 last year.
Withers was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison. Magistrates said the offence was so serious to warrant custody because of his record and the fact that he was the subject of a community order for an identical matter.
He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £122 victim surcharge.
