IN difficult times it's good to know you can rely on a Cornish pasty.

And one farm is making sure that our staple dish – along with sausage rolls and ice cream – will stay on the table even for those who can't get out and about during the coronavirus restrictions.

Callestick Farm near Truro has launched a Cornish pasty, sausage roll and ice cream delivery service.

Three options are available to choose from, which all include Proper Cornish pasties – both meat and cheese and onion – sausage rolls and Callestick Farm ice cream.

A gluten-free option is also on offer. Delivery is being made throughout Cornwall, with next day for certain areas.

The farm said that there had already been "a large amount of interest" in the service, which launched on March 19.

The new service coincides with the launch of five new ice-cream flavours – Custard Cream, Apricot and Panna Cotta, Jelly Fruit Burst, Caramel Ginger and Chocolate Salted Caramel.

Callestick Farm marketing manager, Amy Breach, said: “We wanted to do something to help keep Cornwall smiling.

“Our order service is available for delivery throughout the county and can be personalised according to taste. Any of our ice cream and sorbet flavours can be included within the options and if some people would just like to order ice cream, that’s fine too!”
