Penzance police are appealing for information about an assault on a sales assistant at Pound Stretcher in Penzance.
The incident occurred at the St Michael’s Retail Park shop on Sunday, February 16 at around 3.45pm.
A man selected a box of washing tablets before leaving the store without paying.
When challenged by staff outside he became violent, punching a 22-year-old shop assistant in the face causing him injuries which required hospital treatment.
The suspect then made off in a silver Ford KA, which had a front missing wheel trim.
Police would like to speak to the man pictured because he is thought to have vital information which could assist their enquiries.
Anyone who recognises the man or has any other information which could help, is asked to call police on 101 quoting, CR/14120/20.
