A children’s nursery has been forced to close for 'key workers' after burglars caused extensive damage.
Daisy Fays Nursery at Carnon Downs, was broken into between 8pm on Saturday and 7am on Sunday.
Two gas canisters were stolen and "significant" damage caused to the front entrance of the nursery in Carnon Crescent, said police.
A police spokesperson said: "The nursery had been due to open this week for those children with parents identified as 'key workers' by the government as part of the Covid-19 response strategy, but was unable to due to the damage caused, meaning parents who are hospital staff were denied childcare."
