FIRE crews have remained on scene through the night at a gorse fire in West Cornwall.
Firefighters were called to Newmill, north of Penzance, at around 2.50pm on Thursday.
Four fire appliances, from Penzance, St Just, St Ives and Hayle, were sent to the scene.
Crews have remained on the scene through the night to monitor the situation.
A spokesperson for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: "Good progress has been made and it will be monitored until crews are satisfied it is extinguished."
