A MAN was jailed for 146 days for his second knife offence.

Jay Richard Cunningham, 20, of no fixed abode, admitted being in possession of a knife in a public place in Redruth on March 3, 2020.

Magistrates heard that it was his second such offence and that was the reason for the six-month jail sentence, discounted for a guilty plea.

Cunningham also admitted possession of cannabis in Redruth on the same date.

Both the drugs and the knife were forfeited and destroyed and Cunningham was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £122.

A WOMAN who breached a Criminal Behaviour Order has been jailed for six months.

Gennette Iris Ford, 35, c/o St Petroc's in City Road, Truro, admitted the breach by not leaving premises when asked to do so.

She also admitted racially aggravated harassment and was jailed for six months for that offence, with the sentences to run concurrently.

Ford was also ordered to pay £100 compensation.

A MAN who assaulted a woman has been jailed for 16 weeks.

Daniel Graham Lynch, 34, of Albert Place, Trehaverne, Truro, admitted the assault, as well as possessing a knife in a public place and being drunk and disorderly.

All three offences took place on February 13 this year.

Lynch was also made to pay £50 compensation by magistrates.

The courts are currently only dealing with urgent cases.
