We’re teaming up with local retailers to help them provide vulnerable and older people who have now been advised to stay at home due to the coronavirus pandemic with a free home delivery service for essential items such as bread, milk and newspapers.

In these challenging times it is important for the community to pull together and we know that our friends in the local newsagents stores the length and breadth of the country wish to play their part too.

So, from today, we’re inviting stores who want to help to contact us to register.

This is a unique partnership between our newspaper and the retailers involved and one in which we hope those who are the most vulnerable in our communities will value.

Simply phone to register on 01202 411319.

We will need to know four simple pieces of information: Your name, your store name, your town and postcode, if you have a minimum order value, and if yes, how much?

In addition to the tremendous goodwill your participation will engender, your store’s name and contact details will be published each week in this newspaper free of charge for the duration of the coronavirus pandemic

The outlets listed below have already agreed to help and they would be happy to take requests from potential customers today.

We will continue to advertise these outlets free of charge and will add more as they come forward to help.
