A farmer was left trapped in his tractor by a live electricity cable in a dramatic end to the day in east Cornwall.
The tractor had collided with an electricity pole and the cable, carrying around 11,000 volts, was lying across the vehicle.
The fire service's critical control received an emergency call from police just after 9.50pm, asking for their help.
Two crews from Liskeard Community Fire Station were sent immediately, along with the rescue tender from Bodmin, a station manager and an incident commander.
South Western Ambulance Service and Western Power Distribution were also called to attend.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Upon arrival crews had to proceed on foot to locate the incident.
"Crews confirmed one casualty trapped in a tractor by a live electricity cable carrying around 11,000 volts."
Western Power Distribution engineers subsequently confirmed the power supply had been cut and that it was safe to move the casualty.
The driver was released from the tractor and thankfully had no injuries.
