Wooden faces have begun popping up around a Cornish village - and no one knows why.
More than a dozen of the cute creations have been discovered all around The Lizard village and surrounding footpaths, but so far the person responsible has yet to be identified.
It has led to some in the village dubbing the maker as "our own special Banksy".
Those living at The Lizard have been enjoying spotting new faces on their daily walks over the last week or so, with some comparing the faces to the popular children's book character Stick Man, by author Julia Donaldson.
One resident said: "I would like to say a big thank you to the mystery Stick Man maker.
"We really appreciate your time and effort."
Another said: "It made our walk very magical.
"They have been a great addition on our daily walks; a really lovely idea."
And that's not all. In recent days little wooden seals have begun appearing around the village also, all named after locally known seals.
It is not clear whether they are by the same person, or someone else who has been inspired by the wooden faces to create their own trail of discoveries.
