New driver in Helston tests positive for drugs while at the wheel
A newly qualified young driver can expect to find themselves losing their licence already, according to police, after testing positive for drugs while at the wheel.
Officers initially stopped the driver in Helston for performing an illegal manoeuvre.
They had been attempting to turn right into a road where doing so was banned.
A drugs wipe subsequently found the driver testing positive for cannabis.
A spokesperson for the Alliance Roads Policing team said: "One sure way of losing a licence!"
