A phone and computer repair shop that launched in Helston just one week before the coronavirus lockdown is getting ready to 'Revive' next month.

Tech-Revive owner Danny Tresidder opened the business at 1 Wendron Street on March 16 - but was forced to close just one week into trading, when the country went into lockdown.

Now he plans to launch a reboot on June 16, the day after the government has said all non-essential retailers can reopen.

Danny said: "We are looking forward to reopening on June 16, and we are making every precaution to keep both staff and customers safe and follow government guidelines.

"This comprises of a sneeze guard, social distancing markers and a maximum of two customers in the shop at a time.

"Face masks and gloves will be worn while working on repairs and all devices will be cleaned with antibacterial wipes."

Danny had been working for a friend's repair business in Camborne but just before Christmas decided to open a shop in his home town.

"I have always had a love for technology. After Christmas I took on a lease on 1 Wendron Street and after a lot of hard work refitting the shop Tech-Revive was born," he said.

The shop, which offers accessories, micro soldering, mobile phone unlocks, devices and gadgets sales, as well as repairs on phones, tables, PCs and games consoles, was officially opened by Helston's deputy mayor Tim Grattan-Kane with a socially distanced elbow bump 'handshake' and he went on to show his support by becoming its first customer.
