THERE has now not been a coronavirus-related death in Cornwall's hospitals for 12 days.

Sunday's NHS England figures confirmed that the total remains at 90, where it has stood since Tuesday, June 2.

Of those, 64 have taken place at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust and 26 at hospitals run by the Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation trust.

The daily NHS updates only cover deaths in hospitals, however, and earlier this week the Office for National Statistics updated its totals – which cover hospitals, care homes and deaths in the community – to 198 for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

That figure will be updated on Tuesday.

Their families have been informed.
