More information has been released about the last known sighting of a man who has now been missing for almost two weeks.

Earlier this week police reissued their appeal to help find James Mitchell, who has not been seen since leaving his home in Camborne in the early hours of Saturday, June 6 on foot.

Yesterday a force spokesperson said: "Following initial enquires police now believe that the last confirmed sighting of James was shortly before 1am on June 6, on Gas Lane in the Tuckingmill area.

"It’s believed that he was not wearing any clothes, except for a pair of socks."

Falmouth Packet:

James is believed to have left home on foot

Any residents or businesses with CCTV in the Tuckingmill area that overlooks Gas Lane and the surrounding roads, are asked to secure footage between 0.45am and 3am on that date and contact police via 101.

Anyone who sees James or anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 999 quoting log 579 6/6/20.

He is described as a 41-year-old white man, approximately 5ft 6in tall and of slim build, with long, greying brown hair and a beard.

James also has links to the St Keverne area, where his family still live.

His family told the Packet last week: "He’s not in any trouble whatsoever, we are just worried.

"It’s not like him and he's not a danger to anyone. We just want him to come back safe."

They went on to say: "He has a son, parents, sisters, brother - we’re all really doing our best to find him."
