Police are appealing for information after a nearly naked man knocked on doors in Truro yesterday (June 23), asking if he could use the shower.
The man was wearing only a towel and was carrying a wash bag and sponge.
After being refused, the man left.
However, police say that he may have been in the company of a man who was close by - and fully dressed.
Sergeant Marc Sayers of the Truro Community Police Team said: "This is unusual behaviour and we are asking for any information on this, as we are keen to speak to the male to ascertain if his intentions were as he purported."
Anyone with information is asked to contact the police by calling 101 or by emailing through the force's website quoting reference number 457 23/6/2020.
