FIRE crews were called to a blaze in a commercial building in Penryn yesterday afternoon (Saturday).
Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service received a 999 call on Saturday afternoon reporting that a vehicle was on fire inside a commercial building at The Praze in Penryn.
Appliances from Falmouth and Helston were sent to the scene, with crews using two breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to put out the fire.
The fire service confirmed that the cause of the fire was accidental.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "This afternoon Critical Control received a 999 call stating a vehicle was on fire inside a commercial building in Penryn.
"Appliances from Falmouth & Helston attended. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet the extinguish the fire.
"Crews also used a thermal image camera to check the surrounding building for hotspots.
"The cause of the fire was accidental."
