A CRASH between a car and a pedestrian has left a casualty with 'a potentially serious injury', police have said.
Police said they were called at 12pm today to Trink, St Ives, following reports of "a collision involving a car and pedestrians".
A spokesperson for the force said: "Emergency services attended the scene, where one person is believed to have sustained a potentially serious injury.
"No further details available on other injuries at this time.
"Local roads are closed at this time and the incident is ongoing."
Traffic monitoring service Inrix says that the road at Balnoon, between the St Ives turn-off and the Longstone turn-off at Trencrom, is blocked, with traffic queuing.
Traffic between Hayle and St Ives is affected.
Separately, there are reports of slow traffic on the A3083 in Helston, around the A394 Meneage Road, due to extra traffic heading to Flambards.
