A dinghy in distress had to be rescued by emergency services yesterday evening.
Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team was called to a report of a dinghy in trouble at Pendennis Point at 8.37pm on Saturday.
The dinghy had moved off shore and Falmouth Lifeboat was better placed to be able to get to it and escort it back to Falmouth.
The coastguard team members continued to Packet Quays to investigate what had happened and make sure the occupant was safe and well.
Falmouth CRT's station officer attended a separate incident on Saturday. While enjoying a day off with his family, he assisted the local teams and lifeguards with a serious incident at Porthcurno.
