FIREFIGHTERS rescued a dog that fell down a mineshaft on Monday night.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to Binner Downs, Leedstown, at 9.20pm.
The owner of the dog reported that the animal had fallen down a mineshaft and was stuck around 10ft down.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: "The specialist rope rescue equipment from Tolvaddon Fire Station was mobilised along with the support vehicles.
"One Technical Rescue Officer was also mobilised.
"A single rescuer was committed on two lines and the dog was brought successfully to the surface by 10.33pm, to be reunited with its owner."
