Sheep rustlers who had removed ear tags from 23 sheep in North Somerset were foiled by a member of the public this week.

The attempted theft of the sheep took place between Wednesday (August 5) and Thursday (August 6) in Winford, North Somerset.

A member of the public found the sheep rounded up, with their ear tags removed, ready to steal.

They reported their find to the police.
