A number of crashes and hold-ups caused by volume of traffic is making driving slow-going across Cornwall right now.

Traffic reports are still showing the A393 at Sandy Lane in Redruth as being a problem, following an earlier accident.

The road has been partially blocked in both directions due to a crash, between East End and Carknown Gardens.

One vehicle is involved in the crash, which took place just before 6.45am.

Another crash has taken near Newquay, where the A392 is partially blocked blocked both ways.

Slow traffic is reported from Whiteacres Holiday Park at White Cross to the A39 Halloon Roundabout at Trevarren, with a travel time of around 15 minutes.

Elsewhere in the county there are delays simply due to the volume of traffic heading out for the sunny weekend.

At notorious traffic hotspot Carland Cross there is congestion in both directions on the A30, between the Carland Cross and Chiverton Cross roundabouts, with a travel time of 20 minutes.

And on the A3075 Newquay Road there is slow traffic both ways in the Bridge Road area.

UPDATE: All incidents have now been cleared.
