TRURO'S only fully vegetarian restaurant has reopened its doors with a new look, exciting menu and a proud philosophy.
Formerly known as 'Feast', Lettuce and Lovage was recently bought by Jess Tatton-Brown.
As the only completely vegetarian restaurant in Truro, Lettuce and Lovage takes on a healthy and fresh approach to serving vegetarian food With a mission to prove that vegetarian isn't just brown rice and tofu Jess said, "I want to bring a fresh take on vegetarian food in Cornwall.
"Throughout the county and the UK there has been something of a food revolution over the past years with people choosing local seasonal food and in Cornwall we have a lot to be proud of. I want to involve vegetarianism in this celebration but in a more luxurious way than has been seen before and without being martyrs to the cause."
The décor has been designed by Jess's friend, Rachael Carrington.
Lettuce & Lovage is Rachael's first major project and has recently started work with Penryn's Interior Dynamics after completing a Spatial Design course at the University College Falmouth. Rachael said: "Taking inspiration from the pistachio nut, the interior takes on a green and purple colour scheme throughout with plush cushions, big oak tables and comfy seating to create a warm, welcoming and contemporary atmosphere. With the philosophy of sourcing locally and being environmentally aware, we hope to create a setting that people can relish entering and spending time in."
